Since the release of Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition back in 2015, there were rumors circulating that a new Devil May Cry game was in the works. It wasn’t clear if it was going to be a sequel to the Ninja Theory developed DMC or Devil May Cry 5 developed by Capcom internally. The was both, sort of. Here’s the trailer that was shown off at the Microsoft E3 conference:
Even though it seems that Devil May Cry 5 has taken inspiration from DMC visually, the spectacle of Nero taking down demons with ease is clearly classic Devil May Cry. Devil May Cry 5 is set for a release sometime in 2019.
