Due to the huge positive reception of Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1 that was released last week, NIS America has announced that there will be a second volume of Prinny Presents NIS Classics. In Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 2 the two games that will be packaged together are the PS2 classic Makai Kingdom: Reclaimed and Rebound and PSP cult classic ZHP: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman.
As per the press release for the collection:
In Makai Kingdom: Reclaimed and Rebound, Lord Zetta, master of tactical warfare, aims to invade and reclaim the Netherworld—as a book! Utilize clever strategies and powerful magic, along with deadly weapons ranging from broadswords to rocket launchers to take control of your enemies’ land. Also, summon your army through the INVITE system, tear up the battlefield with new characters, and dive into Petta Mode for a whole new story.
In ZHP: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman, your character is custom-made to kick as—many enemies to the curb as you want! Use the deep customization system to outfit your ranger from head to toe, establish your own base, and fight your way through an array of randomly-generated maps to forge your own heroic story.
From my understanding Makai Kingdom, much like Phantom Brave, will be getting the remaster treatment as the trailer has stated that it will be getting a new side story and new playable characters. Which is great since when the game was re-released for the PSP it received the side story “Papa is the Strongest” staring Petta. It’s great to see more games from the NIS vault getting released in the West. Let’s hope this entry to the collection does well also. Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 2 will be coming to Nintendo Switch in Spring 2022, Dood!
