Ever since Hideo Baba became the brand manager and series producer of the Tales of franchise, the games have enjoyed an increased in popularity. It is also thanks to him that Western fans are able to play the games as well. What was a year wait for a game to get localized back in early days of PS1/PS2 era is now only a matter of a couple of weeks during the PS3 era. Now the Tales of series sets its eyes on the PS4 with its first Tales entry, Tales of Zestiria. At Anime Expo this weekend Bandai Namco has announced that they will be localizing the game exclusivity for the PS3, PS4 and PC. Here is the announcement trailer that released at the expo:
And like any Tales of game, a collector’s edition for Tales of Zestiria has been revealed and it looks to out do all previous Tales of collector’s editions.
In the collector’s edition, the following is included:
- 4 Chibi Kyun Chara figures
- Lady of the Lake sanctuary cloth artwork
- Hardback artbook
- 30 minute anime DVD
- Selected soundtrack from the game
- Exclusive Normin metalcase
- Collector’s Edition box
It seems that the collector’s editions will only come in PS3 and PS4 versions.None the less PC gamer should be very happy that Bandai Namco is bringing more games to the PC. Tales of Zestiria has a solid release date of October 20, 2015.
