No matter how hard most publishers try keep E3 announcements and reveals under wraps, there will always be some leaks. This is very true for Bandai Namco as several game reveals and announcements have been leakd ahead of the show. WARNING: IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE SPOILED BEFORE NEXT WEEK DO NOT READ AHEAD. Still here? Good, so here are the game announcements/reveals that have been leaked.
About a month or so ago it was rumored that A Song of Fire and Ice (AKA Game of Thrones) creator George RR Martin was collaborating with From Software and Souls director Hidetaka Miyazaki on a brand new game. Thanks to this leak, it seems that the rumors are true. The new game that is currently being developed is called Elden Ring, a fantasy action-RPG. Not many details have been revealed in the leak, other than it stating that Elden Ring is From Stoftware’s biggest game yet.
One of my favorite JRPGs to be released during the PS3 era was Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch. So imagine my excitement when the Bandai Namco leaks revealed that Ni No Kuni is being remastered for the PS4 and PC as Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch Remaster. Again not much info was revealed other than the game being remastered in HD. There is another rumor circulating that the Nintendo Switch maybe getting either the standard version of Ni No Kuni or the DS version of the game. Either way we’ll just have to wait and see.
It wouldn’t be a Namco Bandai E3 without news on the next Tales of game. Fortunately the leak also mentions a new Tales game called Tales of Arise. Here’s a bit of backstory that was revealed in the leaks:
On the planet Dahna, reverence has always been given to Rena, the planet in the sky, as a land of the righteous and divine. Stories handed down for generations became truth and masked reality for the people of Dahna. For 300 years, Rena has ruled over Dahna, pillaging the planet of its resources and stripping people of their dignity and freedom. Our tale begins with two people, born on different worlds, each looking to change their fate and create a new future.
The game will have an updated battle system that retains the classic Tales feel and will be developed with Unreal Engine 4, a first for the series. No other info was revealed in the leaks, but just by looking at the images leaked, it seems that the art style that Namco Bandai plans to use is a mix of realistic and anime inspired.
That about covers all of the Namco Bandai leaks. I’m sure that they will confirm all of these leaks and give more details plus teaser trailers when E3 kicks off this coming week. Until then, tell us which game are you excited for more info on and what more do you expect from Bandai Namco.
