Danganronpa Decadence gets a December release for Nintendo Switch

As summer starts to wind down, class is back in session as the Ultimate Killing Game starts anew on the Nintendo Switch with Danganronpa Decadence. For those who might now know, Danganronpa is a series of visual novel adventure games that has high school students pitted against in games of death by a deranged robotic bear named Monokuma. Now the games have seen previous releases over the years, with the latest being Danganronpa 1-2 Reloaded and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony for PS4 and Steam. Danganronpa Decadence will mark the series arrival on the Nintendo Switch.

 

 

Danganronpa Decadence will contain four games: Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition, Danganronpa Goodbye Despair Anniversary Edition,  Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Anniversary Edition and the board game Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp, which was an unlockable once beaten.  In Danganronpa S, all of the characters from the first three games are transported to the tropical resort of Jabberwock Island from the second game. Here the students must earn Hope Shards in order to progress through the five different areas of Jabberwock Island in 50 days (50 turns) and for the story to progress. The students will be able to earn experience points through landing on growth squares or by battling monsters when landing on battle squares. In addition to exp, they will be able to earn coins to spend on the island shop to buy items and skills.  As to how or why these ultimate students are playing a literal game of death has yet to be revealed

 

The game will come in two editions: the standard edition for $59.99 and the Collector’s Edition for $99.99 which will include the following:

 

 

  • Danganronpa Decadence – Danganronpa 1, 2, V3, and brand-new title Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp on one game card.
  • 10th Anniversary Poster – 18×24″ cloth poster featuring brand-new art of Shuichi, Nagito, and Kyoko drawn by Danganronpa character designer Rui Komatsuzaki.
  • Remix OST – Special edition! Danganronpa music producer Masafumi Takada pours his heart and soul into this 10-track remixed soundtrack.
  • Danganronpa Lenticular Print Set – 3 lenticular prints displaying cover art and characters from the Danganronpa series.
  • Collector’s Outer Box – Sleek, 9x7x1.38″ premium pop-lid metal box perfect for display for any Danganronpa fan.

If you’re more of a digital download type of gamer, then each of the games will be available for induvial download as well.  School is back in session when Danganronpa Decadence comes out December 3, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch.
