Let’s step away from the JRPGs just for a bit and take a look at other IPs that Square Enix had brought to E3. One of those IPs that they showed off during their conference was Dying Light 2. Here’s the trailer showing off more of the game and introduces the new hero:
It’s been 15 years since the outbreak in Harran and now the whole world is infected and struggling to survive. Players take on the role of Aiden Caldwell, an infected survivor who now roams the streets helping those who are just trying to survive. The interesting bit about the game is that Aiden is infected, but doesn’t show signs of turning yet. I’m curious on how Techland will use this mechanic in the game, like will he be stronger if he goes agro, will he be faster, etc. We’ll know soon as the game is set for a Q1/Spring 2020 release on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
