The Ys series is one of the few franchises that never seems to disappoint its fans with each new or remastered entry to the series. While Ys: Memories of Celceta was a remake of Ys IV, it was one of the best (in my opinion) modern Ys games to come out. Now Aldo and friends are ready once more to set out on a new adventure as Falcom has revealed a brand new Ys game coming to the PS4 and the Vita. Here is the trailer that was shown at Sony’s pre-TGS conference showing off the game:
Even though what was shown was a work in progress, you can tell that Falcom made some changes with Ys. One noticeable change is the positioning of the camera. In previous Ys games the camera would be locked in an overhead position. Now it seems that the camera has been unlocked and players will be able to control where they want the camera to be placed. This new entry to the Ys series will be coming out in 2015 for the PS4 and the Vita. As for a Western release, the Ys franchise is pretty popular here so there might be a possibility that it will come out.
