For some reason Bandai Namco has been giving the Gundam series of games the sort end of the stick when it comes to releasing them in the West. Sure they might not have the star power that shows like DBZ, Naruto, and One Piece have but Gundam is still as popular as ever. It seems that Bandai Namco has finally caught on and has announced that they will be bringing Gundam Versus to the PS4 this Fall. A trailer was even release, showing of several Gundam units doing battle:
Gundam Versus takes the familiar formula that was in the PS3’s Gundam VS Extreme and adds in more Gundams, mobile suits and the power of the PS4. Personally, I’ve been a big fan of Gundam, with Gundam Wing being my gateway show. I and other fans alike were disappointed and confused when Bandai Namco stopped bringing over Gundam games. Hopefully with Gundam Versus’ release this Fall will lead to other games getting release here.
