JUMP Festa happened this past weekend showcasing some of its most popular franchises and their game trailers and game trailers from game developers. One of the trailers that was shown off was the sequel to the ever popular One Piece, One Piece Pirate Warrior 2.
It shouldn’t surprise anyone how popular One Piece is Japan. At the JUMP Festa this past weekend, Namco Bandai showed off a trailer to the new game and announced that there will be a PS Vita version of the game as well:
As to what arc the game takes place, honestly I couldn’t tell you as I’ve never seen One Piece since it with 4Kids and taken off the air. But I do know that I like Dynasty Warriors and the game is being developed by the Koei side of Temco Koei, so most likely I’ll like this game. One Piece Pirate Warrior 2 is set to release in Japan March 20, 2013 with Treasure Box Limited Edition version of the game. As for it coming state side, I don’t think it sold to well since it was a download only for the PSN. But never underestimate the power of the One Piece fandom. Most likely it will come to the states, but like the first game only as a download on PSN.
