Keiji Inafune introduces Azure Striker Gunvolt trailer

Inti has enlisted the work of Keiji Inafune for their latest game.

It looks like Mighty No. 9 isn’t the only Mega Man inspired game Keiji Inafune is working on. In a video that was put out by the father of Mega Man, Inafune-san has announced that Inti Creates, a studio that is staffed by former Capcom employees and responsible for the Mega Man Zero series, Mega Man ZX series, Mega Man 9 & 10, and will be helping with Inafune’s Mighty No.9, will be releasing a new game called Azure Striker Gunvolt for the 3DS. Inafune will be directing the action of the game and was nice enough to bring a trailer to show what the game looks like. Don’t be too surprise if the game looks and feels familiar:

It seems that Inti is also tired of Capcom, for a lack of a better term, “dicking” around with the Mega Man franchise and have decided that they too will create their own spiritual successor to the Blue Bomber, just like Inafune. In a way it feels like that destiny has brought together Inafune and Inti since they have both worked on various Mega Man games and know him more than any other people. Azure Striker Gunvolt is set to strike on to the eShop sometime in Summer 2014.
