Metro Redux confimed for PS4, Xbox One and PC; more details to come at E3 2014

Rediscover the terror of Russia’s post apocalyptic metro system on next gen systems soon.

When reporting rumors of potential releases or leaked release dates, more times than not, game developers and their publishers will often say “No comment” and either hope that the rumor will die out or force them to reveal the game earlier than expected. Sometimes, publishers will just confirm the rumor and asks people to wait till more information is cleared to release. One of those publishers is Deep Sliver. Sometime last week an Italian pre-order image was leaked showing off a game called Metro Redux. In the image it said that the game will have the first Metro game, Metro 2033, and Metro Last Light and a slew of pre-order incentives. Redux was reported to be coming to the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Today Deep Sliver has taken to the official Metro blog to comment on the leaked image.  Here is what they had to say about the rumor leak:

Metro Redux. You may have heard of it… even though you probably shouldn’t have!
We could issue a ‘We do not comment on rumour and speculation’ statement and pretend this never happened. They’re pretty boring to read. They’re also pretty boring to write.
So we’re going to comment on rumour and speculation instead.
Is Metro Redux real?
Yes. We never made any secret of 4A’s desire to bring Metro to the latest generation of console hardware.
But what you saw leaked was taken from an old, internal planning presentation, containing some nuggets of truth but a lot of hypothetical ideas and place holder material.

Mark down another game to be excited to see when E3 2014 rolls around in June.
