Microsoft tries to appeals to Japanese gamers with TGS 2014 lineup

For the most part, Microsoft has never did that well in the Japanese market with the Xbox brand. For some reason the system over there has been labeled as the otaku system with its pretty hefty library of visual novels appearing on it. With the Japanese launch of the Xbox One coming up soon, Microsoft is working hard to try to capture the Japanese core audience. And it shows with their TGS 2014 lineup of games. Here is what they will be showing off at the show:

  • Dance Central Spotlight
  • Dead Rising 3
  • D4: Dark Dreams Do not Die
  • Forza Horizon 2
  • Forza Motorsport 5
  • Halo: The Master Chief Collection
  • Happy Wars
  • Ori and the Blind Forest
  • Ryse: Son of Rome
  • Sunset Overdrive
  • Call of Duty Advance Warfare

While it seems that MS is going heavy on the Western centric games, other developers and publishers will be showing off Xbox One games as well. You would think that MS would want to remind Japanese gamers that games like Kingdom Hearts III, Final Fantasy XV or Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain, all Japanese developed games, are coming to the Xbox One. We’ll see what else MS has in store when TGS 2014 gets closer.
