In an age where it’s harder to get access to previous generations of games due to either being the physical copy being super expensive or no longer on that platform’s digital store, remaster collections/compilations are becoming more important so that both fans and newcomers can enjoy them. This is especially true for developers/publishers like NIS/NIS America. While games like the Disgaea and its spin offs have made their way to various consoles over the past few years, there’s a ton of games from NIS’s backlog that haven’t seen a re-release. Coming off the release of the Prinny 1•2: Exploded and Reloaded collection, NIS America has announced at New Game Plus Expo 2.0 the Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1 collection. This will consist of two classic NIS games; Phantom Brave and Soul Nomad, both of which first released on the PS2.
