To go off on a fan boy tangent, Suda 51 is one of my favorite Japanese developers. I’ve said this before many times before that if Shigeru Miyamoto is the Walt Disney of video games and that Hideo Kojima is Stanley Kubrick, then that would make Suda 51 Quentin Tarantino. From a shmup that has furries and a rhythm game based on Evangelion to a baseball Kinect game and a zombie killing cheerleader, Suda 51 has quite the range. One of his more interesting projects is The Sliver Case. The game just saw an international release in 2016 for the PS4 and PC via Steam. Now it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch as NIS America announced during New Game Plus Expo 2.0 in the form of The Silver Case 2425.
The Silver Case 2425 for the Nintendo Switch consists of two games: HD remasters of The Silver Case and its sequel The 25th Ward: The Silver Case. In addition to the games getting released on the Switch, there will also be a limited edition version of the game which consist of the following:
- The Silver Case 2425 for Nintendo Switch™
- “The Artwork of The Silver Case 2425″ Hardcover Art Book
- The Silver Case 2425 Complete Soundtrack
- Red, Blue, and Green Comic
- The Silver Case Original Comic
- Kill the Past x Kill the Life Poster
- Collector’s Box
Both the digital and the limited physical edition versions of The Silver Case 2425 will release this Summer on July 6, 2021.
