With the release of Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Evee, fans of the franchise have been waiting for what seems forever for news about the new mainline Pokemon games for the Switch. This Nintendo game them that answer in a Pokemon Nintendo Direct. In the Direct, Pokemon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara revealed the names of the new games, Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. He also revealed a new trailer that shows off not only the new region of Galar but brand new Pokemon and the brand new starter pokemon, Here’s the Direct in full in case you missed out:
Other than introducing the new region and the new starter Pokemon, no other information was give. It’s possible that Nintendo will go into more detail possibly at their E3 Direct in June.
