NIS America acquires Card Capture Sakura for August release

Back in the mid to late 90’s,  there were two program blocks that I would watch afterschool when I was a kid and sometimes on Saturday mornings. Those two programs where Cartoon Network’s Toonami and Kids WB. In the 90’s Toonami was known for Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, various Gundam shows and other shows. With Kids WB, they would show various Pokemon, Yugi Oh, and today’s topic Cardcaptor Sakura, or Cardcaptors as it was known in North America.

 

NIS America has announced that they will be bringing the complete Cardcaptor Sakura series this August in both Premium and Standard editions. The Premium Edition is packed with 70 episodes on 9 metallic glossy Blue ray set and will contain the following extras:

  • Hardcover art book (full color, approx. 76 pages) with Tomoyo’s diary of Sakura’s   adventure and full color character illustrations.
  • Bonus English voice overs (monaural)
  • clean openings (2)
  • clean endings (3)

As for the Standard Edition it will be sold over three volumes, each with four DVDs.

 

Both sets will be available on August 9 across North America.
