The Touhou franchise is well known in the anime/otkau community as having some of the most brutal bullet hell games in shoot em’ up genre. But it doesn’t stop just at bullet hell games, the core Touhou games (which happen to be doujinshi themselves) spawned and inspired several other doujinshi works such as anime, manga, music videos and even games in other genres. The reason I bring this up is that several of these spin-off games have been slowly making their way over to the West in the last couple of years. And at the NISA press event that took place this month, a new Touhou game was revealed to be making its way to the West this Summer: Touhou Kobuto V.
Touhou Kobuto V is a 3D bullet hell battle/fighting game that is similar to Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet but in 3D instead of 2D. Not too much really to say about the game other that is will also be coming out on Playstation VR. Touhou Kobuto V is set to release this Summer on the PS4, PS VR and digitally on Vita.
