One of the things that I like about doing games journalism and reporting on upcoming games is that sometimes games will be announced out of nowhere. I like to think that I very well kept with Japanese games that get localized or have caught the attention of fans. Though sometimes there are games that even catch me off guard, like Oreshika Tainted Bloodlines for the Vita. Oreshika is about a clan of demon slayers that have been cursed with a maximum lifespan of two adult years. They are on a quest to break their curse with the help of Japanese gods and goddesses. From what I can guess the game is one of those generational JRPGs, where the hero has offspring and the sons or daughters inherit their parents stats and continue the quest. There is no English trailer as of yet, but the Japanese opening trailer has been released:
The opening really reminds me of early 90’s anime, which is a good thing if you like these types of games. Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines has a release window of 2014.
