Back on April 14, 2012, Funimation had announced that they have picked up the licencing rights for 2010 anime hit, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. For those who don’t know, Panty & Stocking was created and produced by legendary anime studio Gainax, which previous works included Gurren Lagann, FLCL, Cowboy Bebop: Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door, and the highly influancal anime of the 90’s Neon Genesis Evangelion. With each series the create they always seems to be setting an example of what anime can be, and it seems that the production team was let loose when releasing Panty & Stocking. Now the sisters will be let loose come July 10, 2012 as Funimation releases the season one DVD.
