As PAX Online 2020 is about a week away, the panel lineup for the show has finally been revealed. Now usually the panels revolve around a central theme, depending on the the show. PAX Online however seems to have stacked show with some of gaming’s heavy hitters. Kicking things off for the Storytime keynote panel is the creator of the Cyberpunk pen n’ paper RPG, Mike Pondsmith on Saturday, September 12th. That same day Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov will be on hand to reveal a new mode for Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, while Sid Meier has a conversation with fans about his storied carrier in PC gaming. And that’s only the first day.
There will all sorts of panels and events going on during the nine days, ranging from legendary pro skateboarder Tony Hawk providing commentary during a Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 & 2 tournament and the development team Quantic Dream playing Detroit Become Human with the new Twitch integration feature to sit downs with Ted Price, Brian Fleming and so many others. Honestly there is so much content scheduled for PAX Online that it feels like being at a PAX convention in person. The feeling of trying to figure out what to see, what to play, which pins to trade. Penny Arcade has really taken to heart how much their fans miss being at these events in person and give that feeling to their fans. If you want to know more about what and who will be at PAX Online 2020, the schedule is live right now, just head on over to the PAX Online site to see more. Honestly even though this is all online, this PAX event has me pretty excited to see what they have in store.
