Thursday night was the fourth annual Game Awards Show hosted by Geoff Keighely. Regardless if you love the show or hate it, all can agree that the show does has its moments with world premieres of upcoming games and content for already released games. One of those moments was when it was revealed that Persona 5’s Joker will be joining the roster.
What’s surprising about this reveal is that traditionally the Persona series has been associated with Playstation, while the series it spun off of,
Shin Megami Tensei, is associated with Nintendo. This blew fans’ minds, as with the inclusion Joker, who technically is a Playstation character, any character from either Playstation’s or Microsoft’s roster can show up. We’ll just have to wait and see what Nintendo has up their sleeves. Joker is the first of five characters that Nintendo has announced coming out as DLC fighter packs. No release date has been give to when the first pack will be released.
