The tale of souls and swords seems to have not been forgotten as Katsuhiro Harada revealed Soulcalibur VI with new director Motohiro Okubo at the Games Award Show Thursday evening. The trailer, which had Mitsurugi and Sophitia fighting, was a bit short and seemed more like a cinematic than gameplay. At the Playstation Experience however a new gameplay was released showing of new mechanics and a refinement of the 8-way run movement that first showed up in the first Soulcalibur. Here’s the trailer was shown at PSX 2017:
So far from what has been revealed is that the game will be retelling the events of the first Soulcalibur but from a new perspective. Several chacareters will be returning, as well as some new characters. No word on a release date yet other than 2018 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
