The Yakuza franchise has been a surprise hit for SEGA. For years fans have been enamored by Kazuma Kiryu’s journey from hard knuckled yakuza enforcer, to surrogate father, to being dragged back into the yakuza lifestyle and the various adventure in between. Now pushing his late 40’s, Kiryu’s story is about to end in Yakuza 6 The Song of Life. Released in Japan back in 2016, SEGA has finally revealed a release date for the game, a new trailer and a collector’s edition. First here’s the new trailer for the Western release of Yakuza 6:
The game will be released on March 20, 2018. As I mentioned before SEGA has a collector’s edition for Yakuza 6 and to be frank, this has to be the classiest collector’s edition the Yakuza franchise has released:
Called the “After Hours Premium Edition”, this version of the game will contain the following:
• Hardcover Art Book – The intense human drama and magnetic world of Yakuza 6 will be on display in this stunning art book. We’ll have more details on what will fill the pages at a later date.
• 2 Bar Glasses (280ml) – Designed with Kiryu’s ferocious dragon tattoo, these bar glasses are the perfect receptacles for your beverage of choice.
