While it’s no Japanese collector’s edition, the North American collector’s edition of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is pretty awesome.
As I have said many times before, I am a sucker for collector/limited edition versions of games. Be it just a simple art book or a tin with a figure, I enjoy collecting the various trinkets that are in these collector/limited editions. And after seeing Japan’s collector’s edition of Lightning Returns, I hoped that the North American version would be just as awesome. And it is. See in the Japanese version of the collector’s edition, they were set to get a Play Arts Kai figure of Lightning as she looks in the new game. As for the North American version, Square released the following video that shows off what will be in the collector’s edition:
While it’s no figure, a replica pocket watch that Lightning uses in game isn’t so bad. Also consider that SE merchandise is top quality so you know that watch is made of of quality material. With this, Dark Souls 2 collector’s edition and inFAMOUS Second Son’s collector’s edition 2014 is going to be a broke year for me.
