Its been about year since Square Enix release Dissidia Final Fantasy NT to home consoles. And while fans were excited to see this fighting game spin off make a return, it seems that sales fell below expectations that Square put on it. So to try drum up more intrest and increase its player base, they have announced that a free edition of the game will be releasing this month on the 12th.
Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition give players the opportunity to try out a limited roster that changes out which fighters can be used on a weekly basis. If a player has a favorite character or characters and they want to keep them on the roster permanently, they will be available for purchase. Free Edition players do not have access to the main story mode, but they will be able to fight against those who have the retail version of the game online. Square also announced that the game will be making its way to the PC via steam on the same day the Free Edition is released. So if you’ve been curious about Dissidia and have been wanting to play it on PC, then be sure to download it when it releases on March 12 along side the PS4 version.
