In the last few years, retro gaming has seen an increase in popularity, with some companies taking the love of retro gaming even further by reproducing gaming in their original carts to work on original hardware. The latest game to receive this retro revival is Capcom’s Mega Man the Wily Wars for the SEGA Genesis/Master System.
For those who are not familiar with this compilation, Mega Man the Wily Wars is a compilation of the first three Mega Man games on the NES ported/remastered over on to the SEGA Genesis/Master System. While a solid port of the games, the only way to play this compilation was through the SEGA Channel, an online gaming subscription service that allowed users to download games, demos and cheats over the internet. The game was set for a physical release in North America in 1995, but for some reason was canceled though Japan and PAL regions did see a physical release of the game. Unless you imported the game, there was no other way to experience it as SEGA had shut down online service in 1998 as it withdrew from the home console market to focus only on gaming software. It wasn’t until the release of the SEGA Genesis/Master System Mini that fans could experience Mega Man the Wily Wars once again. And now thanks to Strictly Limited Games, a physical collector’s edition of the game is up for pre-order.
In this collector’s edition you will get the following:

Blue Bomber cartridge for Genesis/Mega Drive
