This one is for all you old school mech anime fans. It seems that Namco Bandai is going hybrid crazy with a few of their releases (not that I’m complaining, its a great idea). First was the Tekken Hybrid Blue Ray, then the .Hack movie bundle and now (deep breath) The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? Anniversary Box.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of one of the most inspirational mech anime and help launch anime in the US, Super Dimension Fortress Macross. And to celebrate this seminal anime Namco Bandai will be releasing a special anniversary blue ray hybrid that contains the digitally remaster movie “Do you remember love?” and a new PS3 game that takes place during the events of the movie which will run ¥7,140 . But what fans will really want is the 30th anniversary box set. The special box set comes with the hybrid blue ray disc, a bonus blue ray that contains the extra features, an all color booklet, a mini size theatrical pamphlet, a mini poster collection, a special box, magazine covers from the era of the film’s release and much more. Pricing for the anniversary box is set at ¥13,800. Here’s the trailer that Namco released promoting the movie/game:
