Tetsuya Nomura takes on Hatsune Miku

When he’s not designing characters for the Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts franchises, designer/director Tetsuya Nomura helps design figures for Square Enix’s Play Arts Kai  line of figures. One of those figures he’s helping with now is the beloved virtual J-pop idol Hatsune Miku. Now there have been several interpretation of the Vocaloid idol, all unique in their own way. Nomura gives Miku a FF/KH makeover with the following artwork:

He also shows how Miku would look like if she was in a Final Fantasy game:

 

 

If you ask me this is straddling the line of the uncanny valley, due to Nomura using the Final Fantasy XV engine to create Miku. No date on when the figure will be released.
