TGS 2015: Tokyo RPG Factory reveals Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna for PS4 and Vita

Back in June, Square Enix had announced that they were creating a brand new studio called Tokyo RPG Factory. The purpose of the studio is to develop new RPGs that hearken back to the golden era of Squaresoft/Enix. The first project that they teased at the time was called Project Setsuna. During TGS 2015 this past week, Square Enix finally revealed more details about the project and showed off a short trailer. The offical title of the game is Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna and its being developed for the PS4 and Vita. Here’s also the trailer has been shown through out the week:

Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna is very reminiscent of early Squaresoft games such as Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana and modern Square Enix games such as Final Fantasy: 4 Warriors of Light, Braverly Default etc. The game is set for an early 2016 in Japan. If Square wants to get on the good side of Western games who yearn for the golden years of Sqauresoft, they should consider localizing this.
