It’s been a while since we’ve heard any news about the Kingdom Hearts franchise. Maybe it has something to do with the impending release of Final Fantasy XV this holiday season. In any case, now that FF XV is finally coming out, fans can now turn their attention to Kingdom Hearts. At the 2016 Tokyo Game Show that is happening all this week (in Japan at least) Square Enix has release another trailer for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8. This time around the trailer actually shows off some new stuff, such as more details into Aqua’s story in Birth by Sleep 0.2, cinematics from the Back Cover, and more action scenes from the HD version of Dream Drop Distance:
While I may not be a hardcore Kingdom Hearts fan, I can appreciate the story the KH teams have been trying to weave through various medias through out the years. And now things might be coming altogether with the release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8. Personally I can’t wait. After the trailer, a release date of January 12, 2017. That’s the Japanese release date. The Western release date is two weeks later on January 24, 2017.
